Dogs bark for many different reasons and barking can be fine in moderation, but when they overdo it, it can be annoying and frustrating. Dogs barking for a short time at things or noises is a very normal and natural behavior. Barking for no apparent reason, or for a very long time at something may be a sign of a problem that you might need to take a better look at. Whatever the reason that your dog is barking might be, here are some tips about what you can do to moderate it, including a product like no-bark dog collar.
Exercise your dog
Keep your dog busy by exercising him regularly. This way he won't get bored and won't even have time to obsess with other things and start barking for no reason.
Socialize your dog
Often dogs bark to get your attention, spend time with them as much as you can. Sometimes dogs bark to other dogs or to other people. Get out more with your dog and surround yourselves with other people and their dogs, so your dog can get used with them and be more social.
Anti bark collar
The Anti-Bark Spray Collar conditions your dog to stop barking. It is completely harmless and has no secondary effects. Research shows that the Anti-Bark Spray Collar will reduce nuisance barking by up to 88%. Unscented Refills are also available.Train and discipline your dog
Training your dog sure means hard work, but when he starts behaving the right way, you will see it was worth your time. If your dog barks at something continuously, in a loud voice say a word of your choice like "Chill" or "Stop" to get your dog's attention. Remember to always use the same word when telling your dog to stop. When your dog stops barking reward him or pet him, so that he knows he's done good and will get used to the "stop barking and reward" way.
Stay calm and don't punish
When dealing with your dog when he is barking, never loose your temper. If you loose it your dog will feel it and will get anxious, and this will only make the barking worse. Avoid the punishment method. Never punish you dog when he barks. Instead get his attention and reward him when he doesn't bark.
These are all great tips!! Xoxo

DeleteZoey is going through a high barking period. It seems to be a combination of adolescents and resource guarding the us, the humans. We're working with her on it and she's coming around. It just takes loads of patience and consistency.
ReplyDeleteDogs bark to communicate, for the majority of the time, but when it gets too much, it gets too much, and becomes a problem behaviour, and possible nuisance to others.
